I visited Malmö, Sweden for Nordic Game, a video game industry conference. Despite not having a conference badge, I wanted to get the most out of the trip, so I chatted up everyone at the social events, and used field recording as a way to unwind and recharge my social battery. I'm particularly fond of the sound of the train tracks in the city. Trains just sound cool. So do boats. I got to watch this massive freight ship exit the harbor, which was fun. I ended up flying in to Copenhagen and taking the train to Malmö. I took the train back again to visit a friend in the middle of it, so while this blog post and the next are separated, really the whole trip blended together. I got a few really good runs in, and particularly enjoyed the sauna that's 100m out in the ocean on a dock. Felt good being nakey all day.
